My husband, my children and me are dairy farmers on the 'Den Treek'
estate in Leusden, the Netherlands. Being a farmer's daughter, living
on a farm with animals, quietness and space around is self-evident for
me. However, when people visit us I often realise that this 'farm
life' is not obvious for everybody.
With the aid of Farm Visit, I want people who did not grow up on a farm to get to know the farmer’s life in a relaxed atmosphere. We like to show you what the farmer's life is all about. A real glimpse behind the scenes of a farm!
2011 was an uneasy year for our company. Aside from our daily work, a new cubicle shed was built for our 90 cows. At the beginning of November, we started milking in this new shed, which is no longer done in the traditional way but with the aid of 2 milk robots. Curious how that works?
